In my years as a restaurant chef, I had the opportunity to work with many people and cook various delicacies and foods. I chose to become a chef because I was a passionate cook as a kid, though not always with great success, but I’ve discovered my passion for seafood dishes when I followed an internship at a seafood restaurant where I learned how to correctly prepare fish. Anyway, because of that, I’d like to share some of my expertise in cooking fish on this blog and I think many of you will find my tips useful, but also easy to follow.
You don’t need a lot to become a great cook, but there are some basic rules you need to respect if you want to final result to be exquisite. One of the main rules to cooking fish is freshness. The best seafood dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and nothing else will equal their taste and flavor.
Consequently, I have developed a taste for fishing as well, right after I started practicing a variety of dishes. In that domain, however, I wasn’t as gifted as I was with kitchen utensils, but I didn’t give up until I became skilled enough to catch my own fish. Thus, for those of you who are just beginning their fishing training, it may seem a bit difficult at first, but you will get better at it with a bit of patience and concentration.
Nevertheless, I’m not sure if I am the right one to give advice on fishing, but I can be helpful by sharing my personal experiences, either good or bad. In addition, I can tell you how I cooked the fish that I caught and what are the best methods to cook commonly caught species like panfish, trout, salmon or bass. I will also try to share insights over my best fishing combos, and why not, maybe even get some advice back from more experienced anglers, which I would be very grateful for.
I believe that sharing your experiences can be of tremendous help to others, like me, who are not as skilled in fishing. I can’t wait for my future readers to provide me with useful practical input about fishing, while I will instead provide you with some of the best ways to cook the tastiest recipes that I know of.
